"Tumultuous Beloveds"
We act impulsively. We break up. We get back together. with Artist Alberto Aguilar We are in constant metamorphosis. We are indecisive. We are lazy. We are a tornado. We are a soft wind. We are a memory. We are a laboratory. We are image smashers. We are delicious. We are possessive. We are exclusive. We are self-destructive. We no longer exist. We are a question. We are all embracing. We don't care. We take naps. We Attack. We are attractive. We are repulsive. We are intuitive. We are young lovers. "Alternative Anatomy"
"Alternative Anatomy" explored how people think about their bodies in terms of health and illness, injury and disability, beauty and body image. To investigate this idea, we wrote, collaged, and collected stories from people in the community. Two final works are the result: a small-press magazine containing interviews, artwork and essays; and a series of photographs and "wearable" drawings translated from sensations we can feel but can't usually see.with Artist Christa Donner Copies of "Translucent Transformation" are in the collections of numerous libraries and public archives of small-press materials across the world, including:

"Evidence of Change"

The interventions, in their limited life span, became visible records of the growth, change, and decay inherent to the natural cycles already present at the Pleasant Valley site. with Artist Paola Cabal "Evidence of Change" extended artist Paola Cabal's installation practice into the natural environment, and was a hugely stimulating experience both for her own artistic thinking, and for the group, which came to call itself "The Time Collective." "My Space: McHenry County"
An art experiment to create a new aural environment. This installation was initiated by questions related to identity and representation: Who am I? and What do I want to say?with Artist Penny Brice Each participant produced an individual motif that was cast into porcelain. With the introduction of sound these objects have been turned into sonic vessels. Collected ambient acoustics and recorded sounds have been created. Each is unique in character and collectively they created OurSpace: McHenryCounty.
